Despite London being a large city, there are loads of nice places in and around it, where you can go and almost believe you are in the "proper" country side. One of the things I like to do in my spare time is to get out for a walk with my buddies or even on my own to one or other of these "lungs" of London. In this section you'll see a few of the places I like to walk in and pictures of some of the scenery that can be found along the way. The places I've selected are just places I've been to with my camera recently. I plan to keep adding scenes until people beg me to stop. Watch as my photography skills improve! - Wait with baited breath to see where I go when I venture south of the river or even out of London ... I haven't provided any detailed directions for any of the walks. There are plenty of books on walks available, written by people with a better sense of direction than me - not difficult! (- I generally roam around aimlessly and hope for the best that I don't get too lost). As far as I'm concerned, whatever direction I'm facing, straight ahead is North, and if things don't work out I ask for directions and hope people will tell me the truth (this doesn't always happen I have to say - there are some very cruel people out there!). Anyway, hopefully you'll get a bit of a feel for some of the places I've enjoyed walking and be inspired to visit yourself if you're in the area. Whether you get round to visiting or not, I hope you enjoy the pictures - I've certainly had a good time taking them. |
