Click on the pic to return to Spain Autumn 2006 story A steep climb up through the Parque Natural Sierras de Tejeda Almijara y Alhama was worth the effort for more stunning views. This was a slightly tougher walk than the one the previous day. The uphill climb got our heart rates going, and the descent was kind of hard on the knees and ankles. By the time we got to the village of Alcaucin, I was well ready for a nice cold beer. No luck with spotting any big animals like wild boar and ibex but we did come across some very interesting creepy crawlies and as it was autumn there were loads of mushrooms about. |
