Click on the pic to return to Spain 2006 story The stunning, horse shoe shaped (apparently) Zaffaraya pass was visible from just about everywhere around Alcaucin and the Parque Natural. I woke up to this view daily from my terrace (well at least on the days when it wasn't foggy), and I was looking forward to actually passing through the pass (as it were) at some point, and enjoying the view from the other side. Got the opportunity on the bus ride to Granada, and on a circular walk that took in the village of Espino, also visible on the hill across from the hotel. The town of Zafarraya itself also sounds like it's worth a stop though I didn't manage to on this occasion.
