Back on the subject of sport, a mid week visit to the theatre proved to be well worth the effort. Crouch, touch, pause, engage tells the true life ‘coming out’ story of Gareth Thomas, a Welsh international professional rugby player. In the often very macho world of sport, let alone rugby, this could have gone far more horribly wrong for Mr Thomas. He did a brave thing and it all came good for him in the end.
A gripping, inspiring, heartwarming story brilliantly told and performed by a stellar cast of 6.
Other sources including The Guardian review the play far more eloquently…
It’s been doing the rounds and is coming to the end of its run so catch it while you can. Failing that, check out his autobiography, Proud (other book stores are available!).
