Open House London 2014

Passed a very satisfying couple of hours checking out the architecturally interesting Cressingham Gardens as part of Open House London.

Those of you interested in such things could do a lot worse than watch Homes Under the Sledgehammer, a short (20 minutes), and very interesting film that explains it all way better than I can in words…

And if f you fancy helping with the fight to defend decent social housing against the scourge of faceless property developers and local authorities looking to make a quick buck, head over and sign the online petition to save Cressingham Gardens. A great example of what social housing that works well for the people living in it could be like.

Thanks to the residents who took the trouble to show us around and open up their homes so we could have a nose around… and good luck with the campaign!
