Merry Christmas one and all. Another glorious day here perfect for another walk. Back up to Sandymount Reserve, this time to take in Lovers Leap and the Chasm.
Piece of piss compared to yesterday’s walk to Sandfly Bay. It was a busy day walking by NZ standards, clearly lots of folk were out doing the traditional walk before Crimbo dinner.
A popular walk, and not surprising as it’s bloody beautiful. Even the sheep think so…
…As ever the Sea was its unbelievable shade of blue…
…The chasm was a scarily long way down as the brilliant caution sign err… cautioned…
And Lover’s Leap even scarier but at least there was water to break your fall if you managed to leap out far enough…
Fortunately there was a barrier for protection – on the viewing platform at least, and no reason to leap anyway – Crimbo dinner to look forward to after all…
After a lovely lovely walk we went for a drive round Hooper’s Inlet to Allan’s Beach where the sealions hang out…
…And we were lucky enough to spot 3 having a bit of a kip…
… despite the hordes of people (by NZ standards anyway) that had decided to visit for the afternoon…
Ok must go, Crimbo dinner calling… Have a good one yourselves
