Eclipse

Spent an ace weekend in Brighton. Apart from the fabulousness of catching up with friends, went on an absolutely beautiful walk on the South Downs around Wolstonbury Hill near Pyecombe. It was a lovely sunny winter’s day and the forest was magical.

Loads of really old and humungous trees. The damp weather meant there was some seriously large fungus action going on too (which is guaranteed to impress me).

After some chemical free dancing to great “world music” at Spirit of Saturday, an evening walk along the beach to a party. As luck would have it a lunar eclipse happened along to top off the evening. Really amazing. Unfortunately had no idea it was happening and for quite a long time didn’t even realise what it was. So, if ya missed it, you’ll just have to take my word for it that it was great. Or check out some of the photos on Flickr.

And finally, on a completely unrelated note, Faith the biped dog has already probably had more publicity than is strictly warranted. But … can’t resist passing this one along as it was passed on to me this week. Hopefully American Airlines takes better care of unaccompanied minors than they do of accompanied pets.
