Fountain, Pl. De Virgen, Valencia, Spain
Click on the pic to go back to Valencia story

The main square in town has a beautiful old cathedral which has a museum. In the summer live music and performance often happen in the square. Loads of bars and eateries surround the square and it's a nice place to hang out and watch the world go by. And of course there's this lovely fountain.

The square seems to be pretty lively day and night and there's lots of other stuff going on in the surrounding streets, including a very nice women's bar that serves great home cooked food.

I'm sure there must be loads of interesting historical and cultural facts about the place but I don't know what they are. Fortunately you can check these out for yourself in the cathedral museum (which only seems to be open in the morning). The tourist bus also leaves from very nearby.
