Click on the pic to return to Spain Spring 2007 story The accommodations at Molino Rio Alajar - www.molinorioalajar.com (opens in new window) were superb and the surrounding countryside absolutely fantastic. 2 minutes away the river was full of wildlife including water snakes, toads, terrapins and all manner of insects and bugs. The hill opposite was covered in cork oaks that looked absolutely stunning in the late evening, with their rich brown bark being beautifully set off by the setting sun. The neighbours had a couple of majestic looking Ostriches, and the proprietors of Molino Rio had a few donkeys that were ready and willing to take those that were ready and willing on treks through the countryside.
