Click on the pic to return to Spain Autumn 2006 story After getting drenched in El Torcal we stopped off in Antequera for lunch en route to our next hotel. It's an interesting town with an old historic part. A short climb up hill and again there's pretty good views all around. There are some Roman ruins a Moorish fortress and several interesting looking churches. After mooching around town for a bit we set off to our next destination, Mazmullar where we'd be spending the next few days. Our journey took us through the town of Colmenar and due to the amount of rain it was pretty tricky getting up the steep, slippery roads. Third time lucky and we were on our way thanks to some pretty nifty driving from Rosie, our walk leader. |
