Click on the pic to return to Spain 2006 story Well by all accounts the Alhambra Palace, which overlooks the city of Granada is a very interesting place. However as time and tickets were in short supply, and there wasn't much chance of getting me queuing at 6 am ... the only view we were going to get of this amazing example of Moorish architecture was from the Albaicin on the hill opposite. Nevertheless the Alhambra is pretty impressive even from the outside. The backdrop of the snow capped mountains of the Sierra Nevada adds to the splendour. |
