Vejer de la Frontera is a pretty, Moorish hill town with whitewashed buildings and wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. A great place to just wander around, particularly in the walled old quarter. Sites to visit include the 16th church which was once a mosque and the Castillo. It's quite easy to spend the whole day exploring without realising the time. Nice shops and quaint little bars. We liked Vejer! |
