Click on the pic to return to San Francisco story Haight St., the main drag through vibrant Haight Ashbury area has lots of cool shops including the vast Amoeba Records, and lots of cool murals painted on the buildings. If you feel so inclined, you could take an organised walking tour of the area to get the lowdown on all the local landmarks and history (e.g. the Haight Ashbury Flower Power Walking Tour). Alternatively, you could just get yourself a decent guide book. The bottom end of Haight Street brings you neatly into the beautiful Golden Gate Park, a nice place to chill out and rest your weary feet after your wanderings.
