Click on the pic to return to San Francisco story Ok so this isn't actually Coit Tower, it's one of many spectacular views you get from it. You also get great views of the ocean, Golden Gate and Bay bridges, and the San Francisco Bay generally. You don't even need to go up the tower to experience the almost 360° view (though you might as well if you're there). You can just pootle around the base taking it all in. By all accounts, the world famous (and apparently earth quake proof) Transamerica Pyramid (on the far right of above picture) is also worth a closer look if you get the chance. Unfortunately it's no longer possible to go up on the observation deck. |
