Surrounded by mountains, river rushing in the valley below, mist swirling about – all very mystical despite the literally hundreds of tourists milling around trying to take it all in. Many had arrived via hiking the Inca trail like us. The more sensible among them had let the train take the strain. It would be very easy to spend a whole day or longer just wandering
around. Guides presented more fascinating facts in multiple languages
while I let it all wash over me and just admired the view, the architecture,
