This garden (called Square du Vert-Galant) below Pont Neuf is one of many lovely places along the River Seine where you can stop off, chill and rest your aching feet for a while. Apparently there are 37 bridges in Paris. It felt like we crossed over all of them in the few days we were there, but this one merited several visits. The bridge is apparently the oldest in Paris. The garden is part of a kind of Island in the middle of the river so it's a great place to sit and watch river life go by. The river cruise boats stop here too so it's as good a place as any to pick one up. |
