Abel Tasman National Park is a must. Right on the coast there is 51Km of beautiful walking to be had. I only managed a small stretch of it starting at Marahau but the coastline is absolutely beautiful. There are lots of shorter walks to be had or you can do the whole walk in a few days. My time was pretty limited so I opted for the Tinline Nature Walk which takes about an hour and takes you through forest with beautiful trees, ferns and streams. I couldn't tear myself away from the view so walked for about another hour along the coastal track passing beautiful beaches and bays along the way. |
