Click on the pic to return to New York story OK so this isn't actually a view of Staten Island, but it is the view you get of Manhattan from the Staten Island Ferry. Having done the return journey on the ferry a couple of times in the past, this time we decided to actually get off at the other end and take a look around the island. The plan was to take in some green space and walk along the wild life trails at High Rock park. Unfortunately our bellies got the better of us and after what seemed like a long and winding bus ride we ended up at Deninos for allegedly the best pizza in the city -- and I have to say it was very good. We ran out of time to do the walk and got the bus back to the ferry terminal after calling a cab that was supposed to be turning up in "5 minutes", and still hadn't arrived after 45 ... |
