Click on the pic to return to Ghana 2004 story It was particularly nice to see Absolon again, have a drink, chat and a refresher drum lesson -- he'd sold us a couple of drums when we'd been there the previous year. As I'd forgotten nearly all the rhythms he'd taught me then it was very handy that he was around to remind me! He's a really nice guy, calm, peaceful and a damn good drummer. Makes all the drums himself and lives fairly local to the beach. He also makes other bits of handiwork like necklaces and bracelets. So, if you're ever there, look him up, get him a drink on me, buy something off him, and tell him I sent you.
