Click on the pic to return to Bolivia story From Copacabana, if you’re feeling energetic enough, you can do a 3 – 4 hour walk to Yampupata, following the shoreline of Lake Titicaca, taking in the beautiful views of the lake, islands and surrounding countryside. There are also more Inca and pre Inca ruins en route. Once you get to Yamputata you might be lucky enough boat back to Copacabana if you don’t want to stay or walk back. Or you can get a boat across to one of the other islands in the lake. Although we didn’t get as far as Yampupata it was a very enjoyable
walk. On the way a llama (or was it an alpaca?) took a shine to us and
followed for a while. Kind of scary all up close and personal and running
