Click on the pic to return to Bolivia story The Coca Museum or Museo de la Coca (link opens in new window) was really interesting and although it’s pretty small we easily spent a couple of hours boning up on the history and tradition of the coca leaf. It’s amazing the (legal) places cocaine or one of its derivatives
turns up. And a great pity that the coca leaf chewing and other coca leaf
related traditions of the Andean people have been so severely affected
by the illegal cocaine trade. |
