Click on the pic to return to Bolivia story It was Christmas Eve and loads of Bolivian families were out having a day chilling by the lake. Brightly decorated vehicles lined the beach and everyone was having a good time. Picnics, games, pedalos out on the water, folk whizzing about on rented motorcycles or horses, small children parading well dressed llamas through the town in the hope of paid for photo opportunities, restaurants touting for custom - lake trout specials on the menu … A bit further along the beach away from the crowds all was peaceful so
we strolled along the beach to the next headland. Across the lake, views
of the beautiful Isla Del Sol, boats bobbing on the water, air heavy with
the fresh smell of Eucalyptus trees… just idyllic. |
