I'm a city girl at heart but do like regular forays into the countryside both at home and abroad. One of the great things about staying rural for me is the wildlife getting up close and personal. Maxine the wallaby and her cute little joey Alicia (who later turned out to be a boy ...) were regular visitors at dawn and dusk. For our evening's entertainment we watched the male wallabies showing off their boxing talents as they tried to impress Alicia and her fellow females. What with the views, the wildlife, the great people and chilled atmosphere Stoney Chute was a great place to be. |
