Hanging Rock Creek, a swimming hole off the Murwullimbah / Kyogle Road near Wadesville was a shortish drive from Nimbin. We stopped off for a wee while at this idyllic spot en route to Border Ranges National Park. It's a fantastic place to while away a few hours on a hot afternoon and the local folk do a really good job of maintaining the environment. It's not always safe to dive off the rock as the water level can get quite low after a long hot spell. Worth checking with the locals if at all unsure, as I'm reliably informed there has been at least one tourist fatality in recent years. |
