A bloody good read…

After all the very negative, and frankly hostile coverage of “the immigration issue” in the run up to the UK general election, it was very refreshing to finally hear about, and read the stories on the subject that don’t get covered in the mainstream media.
If her recent talk is anything to go by, Yasmin Alibhai-Brown’s latest book Exotic England is well worth a read.

As are books on a similar theme such as Asylum and Exile – The Hidden Voices of London by human rights journalist Bidisha, and Bloody Nasty People by New Humanist editor Daniel Trilling.

Oh to be so articulate…
