Thanks to the Duchess for drawing my attention to this one – it made me laugh a lot but on the other hand, you may want to exercise caution if you’re an arachnophobe. You have been warned. On the other hand if you have spare three minutes to kill, you could do worse than piss yourself laughing watching this bit of silliness.
I was in the area so thought I’d take a quick gander at the ceramic poppies in the moat at the Tower of London. I didn’t actually go to the exhibition on this occasion as there’s a great view from the bridge approach and surrounds. I’m not sure if Joe Public can actually walk amongst the poppies, but imagine it would be a really cool thing to do. Whilst I […]
I’m slightly alarmed to find myself subscribing to the n+1 theory of bicycle ownership, where n=the no. of bicycles you currently own, (the theory being that the correct no. of bicycles to own is n+1). Don’t really know where I’m going to store another bike but I have lately been eyeing up this one – a single speed Specialized Langster Street. I’ve been sharing my thoughts on the […]
I’ve written here more than once of my sojourns to Nimbin, in Northern NSW. So I was somewhat distressed to learn this week that half the town, hippy capital of Australia (some would say the world), burned down in a suspicious fire. The whole incident has proved pretty devastating for this alternative community, and home to one of my closest friends. However, luckily no one was hurt. A […]
…A fascinating documentary film about an amazing street photographer who’s work was only discovered posthumously and accidentally. Shame to have missed the exhibition of her work in London, in the mean time I’ll be checking out some of her work on the web.
This was just a training ride for my two cycling buddies, for me it was the main event. The route, 60 long miles (all told 70 miles by the time I’d cycled to the start and cycled home from the train station). Said friends, masochists that they are, will be doing a 100 miler in a couple of weeks time, taking in Box Hill (remember London 2012??) with no stops! […]
Well I didn’t watch the match but tuned into the tail end of the game when I got home, just in time to do a double take on the 0-7 score line, and see Brazil get a futile goal back… Still my good old work colleague came to the rescue and had me cracking up with this one… And of course it wasn’t long before someone created this […]
Had a bloody fabulous day enjoying music from around the world. Cultural Cooperation put on a great event – World City Music Village at Wilton’s Music Hall. All the performers on the day were highly talented to say the least. Stand out performers for me were Kasai Masai – great to see them again, it’s been a few years – they really got the place jumping. And, new to me, […]
For those ole fashioned folk that like a good ole fashioned computers that you can do good ole fashioned computing stuff on, maybe this is the best thing you can do with an iPad. Thanks to a cool work colleague for bringing this to my attention…
